Custom Subland Drill
Request A QuoteTool Description
A Subland Core Drill is two core drills of different diameters combined into one tool while retaining the individual characteristics and proper geometry of each. The independent flutes and margins maintain the concentricity between diameters throughout the life of the tool and is not affected by re-sharpening which is confined to the lead and step angles.
Applications for Subland Core Drill
Subland Cored Drills eliminate operations by drilling two diameter holes as core drill chamfer, core drill counterbore, etc. in one production step. Subland Cored Drills are used to enlarge existing holes for better tolerance control and surface finish. This tool style can also be used for rough or finish reaming when hole tolerances and surface finish permit.
Limitations
Subland Core Drills are not practical when the small diameter is less than 60% of the larger diameter.
