Our origins go back to 1939 when Rutland Tool Service was founded in a garage on Rutland Street in Detroit, Michigan, the automotive capital of the world. In the beginning, our focus was to regrind cutting tools to give our customers better performance and tool life. We have worked hard to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations and requirements. Though our scope has changed over the past 75 years, our focus to provide exceptional customer service has not.
RTS has grown considerably and now occupies a 25,000 square foot facility that has allowed us to become the market leader in providing special cutting tools to meet the most demanding requirements. Our manufacturing facility conforms to ISO-9001 standard.
